“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
And we – are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory,
which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (NIV)
God is in the transforming business. I have seen it over and over again. God transformed Joseph’s situation. Joseph told his brothers, decades after they sold him to slave traders, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.” God transformed Peter, a grizzled fisherman, into the fiery leader of his fledgling church. God also transformed Paul, a legalistic zealot, into the compassionate spokesman to the Gentiles. God is in the transforming business.
Terry Wardle, in his book “Wounded,” writes about the transforming process he went through with the Holy Spirit, “I have experienced the healing hand of God, times of sweet intimate communion, and hard days when He seemed silent and uninvolved. – But of this I am sure: God has used these events to transform my life! – I can testify without hesitation that it is true – in God’s hands the object of one’s greatest pain does become the source of one’s greatest blessing.” There is freedom in Christ and He desires to transform you and I more and more into His likeness. Today bring your cares, burdens, and situations to Him and let Him begin to transform them.
Blessings to you, ,
