February is 'Sweetheart' month, the month of love and w

arm feelings toward others.  Perhaps making it one of God's favorite months.

I John 4:8b, "for God is love

."  Love is throughout the Scriptures from creation to redemption.  Jesus even summarized all the law and the prophets in two statements of love; love the Lord thy God and love thy neighbor, Matt. 22:37-40.  Again, back in I John 4 verse 11, "Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another."  How about writing a Valentine card to Jesus?  What would you say, how would you express your love for Him?  It could be like writing your own little Psalm.

The Co-Ed I class for our young adults taught by Nathan DeYoung is growing and enjoying their studies together.  Our future leaders need our prayers and encouragement.  We have openings for two new teachers.  We need a teacher for an adult class,  which we have named Co-Ed II.V, for all you mathematicians (and we have a few).  The other teaching position is with our little ones; grades K, 1 and 2.  Teaching gives a person the opportunity to learn and grow spiritually in new and exciting ways with the blessings of seeing others learn and grow.  Please give these positions some prayerful thought and let me know if the Lord is calling you.

March is a busy month.  Daylight savings begins Sunday the 13th.  Do mark your calendars so no one is late for Sunday School.  Coffee will be served upstairs.  Franklin Graham is holding a day of prayer in each of the 50 states this election year.  He will be in Denver March 15th, on the capital grounds.  I would love to go.  I'm sure Sherri will keep us updated.  Give this some prayerful thought, perhaps we could carpool up to the event.  March 24, is the Feast of Purim or Esther's Feast.  This is a two day feast to celebrate God's loving protection and provision from death.

The big event is Easter, March 27, when we celebrate God's loving protection and provision from eternal death.  When He reconciled us to Himself.  Through Jesus' death, burial and resurrection we are given a free pathway into His Kingdom and membership in the Royal Family.  A side note: the Jewish Passover this year is April 23.  Might be an interesting topic for Sunday School.

Goodness, what a month.  Jesus should be in our hearts, our minds and on our lips every day.  Come to Sunday School and share the events in your life during these special months as we fellowship together.
