We love fall and back to school! It’s like New Years for me, very celebratory and festive. We have many new friends and have had some friends return back to us as well. We have started Preschool and have been hard at work learning wonderful new things. The weather has been beautiful and we have certainly enjoyed the Colorado sunshine.
October is always exciting around here with a change in the weather, a trip to the farm and a visit from Station 5 for fire safety. We will watch for spiders, falling leaves and sweater weather. We will start practicing for the Christmas program in late October, and we will look forward to sharing it in early December. We have so much to do!
November will bring thoughts of exploration, early Pilgrims, America, and Pumpkin Pie. We will be thankful to God and learn about how to pray. We will have a tradition feast of Turkey and corn, mashed potatoes and of course, pumpkin pie.
Happy Fall Ya’ll!
One day I found two pumpkin seeds,
I planted one,
And pulled the weeds.
It sprouted roots
And a big long vine.
A pumpkin grew,
I called it mine. The pumpkin was quite round and fat.
(I really am quite proud of that.)
But there is something I’ll admit
That has me worried, just a bit.
I ate the other seed, you see.
Now will it grow inside of me?
(I’m so relieved since I found
That pumpkins only grow in the ground!)
