Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower ~ Albert Camus
Ahhhh, lovely fall is here! It just feels jubilant! We are tucked away for preschool, new friends galore. We are figuring out our new schedules and love going to school. We have many fun activities ahead of us, like a visit from Station 5, a trip to the pumpkin patch, new adventures with Miss Janina, our new Librarian at Old Colorado City Library and lots of fun and giggles.
We have been learning about ourselves, our families and leaves! We are exploring for spiders and looking forward to the first frost.
We will start singing our Christmas music right when we dress up for fun for Halloween. Then we will learn about thankfulness.
Christmas is around the corner, with all of its joy and excitement. We will learn about how God sent his Son, and what it was like to have a manger for a bed!
My son, Lt. Clifford Butler, who grew up in this church, is deploying this fall. Our family is collecting the following items for care packages for him and his squadron especially for Christmas. This will require an early November send off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We would also love to send Christmas cards to these troops. These can be addressed to “Dear Airman”.
The items needed are:
Granola bars, fruit snacks, instant oatmeal packs, small packages of nuts, trail mix, flat tuna, or chicken packs, saline drops, nose spray, cough drops, vitamin c drops, dental floss, mouthwash (small bottles) travel size toothpaste, beef jerky, protein bars, work out supplements, and baby wipes.
We are looking forward to this season of love and family and the season of Hope, which is in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Happy Fall Ya’ll !
